We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our son, brother and uncle Alexander Nimr Maasry (April 22, 1981 – July 18, 2017) after a fifteen-month battle against brain cancer. Alex was born in Washington, D.C. where he attended St. Albans school. At the University of Pennsylvania he co-captained the soccer team to an Ivy League championship and graduated with honors in 2004. He also received a joint MBA and Masters in Public Policy from Stanford University. Alex spent most of his professional life with McKinsey and Company, in San Francisco, London, Brussels, Shanghai and New York. His professional legacy will be honored by a foundation set up in his name to promote civic engagement and leadership geared towards positive social change.
